Gorgeous house on the most isolated and at the same time most central spot in Amsterdam! Great place to celebrate a special occasion. The kitchen is nice. Cooking is an option. We brought takeout. The view from the bed is awesome. We watched the boats float by while we fell asleep. You can also close the shutters, but that kind of ruins the effect ;-)

We had the pleasure of staying in the Amstelschutsluis twice. Once in winter and once in summer. A magical experience. Your own private island in the middle of Amsterdam. Top notch service all around. The only critique is the fact that you have to leave at the end of your stay...

The one and only! Unique, priviledged location in Amsterdam. This is our secont stay in a bridge Sweets Hotel and our stay could not be more memorable. The fact that you are in the middle of the Amstel river facing the Carre' Theatre and the skinny bridge, brought by small boat across the canal to a beautifully renovated 17th century small house it is glorious and unique. The outside space that surrounds the room gives 360 degrees views over the old city and the canals. From the hotel receptionist to Mark the captain every one could not have been more " Sweet", customer focuse, service minded, to excellence trough the all stay. It was our wedding anniversary and we are booking for our next year celebration. A must when visiting Amsterdam

In my opinion, this is one of the most romantic places you can find in Amsterdam. You are on your island in the city of Amsterdam. Boats are passing, a view of the Amtel Hotel, Royal Theater CarrΓ©, and the lovely tradition Amsterdam Houses. Het sluishuisje has all facilities of a luxury apartment, so enjoying an evening cooking in your own little house would be a recommendation from my side. Waking up the next morning, opening the sheds, switching on the oven and following the instructions from @coffeeconcepts gives you probably the most romantic breakfast you can have… After having an idealistic evening and morning and leaving by boat (the way you have arrived), it will give you a memory of what you are looking for.

I booked this location as an introduction to proposing to my girlfriend. A unique location (6 stars') in the center of Amsterdam. Also for us as 'Amsterdammers'. And a magnificent view of the Amstel, the Magere Brug and countless boats that pass by. Everything was well organized and in order. A very beautiful location, beautifully finished and fully equipped. We really enjoyed it, my girlfriend for whom it was a surprise, was completely confused and didn't talk about anything else all afternoon. The breakfast (when ordered) was also delicious, including croissants, yogurt and juice. In short, the whole stay was a great success. And, oh yes, we are getting married :)

This bridge house was one of the most incredible places I have slept in my life. If you love Amsterdam, this is the best place to experience it. Next between Carre and the famous Skinny bridge. It's the only island in Amsterdam.

The most horrendously disappointing experience from start to finish. I stayed in 104, it was so overpriced and such a gimmick. There are places far more impressive and authentic to stay in Amsterdam for half the price. The 104 site is on one of the busiest roads, I barely slept. There wasn't even anything to make tea or coffee. I ordered breakfast, which didn't arrive. I was so looking forward to my stay for my 40th having wanted to find the right occasion for years. The customer service team were incredibly rude, when i asked to change my dates because of covid, they refused and finally ended up hanging up on me! HUGE FAIL and no effort at all from the company to put any of it right. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

THE PROS: Amstelschutsluis is one of the most magical places we've ever spent the night. Genuinely impressive and once-in-a-lifetime. Tastefully decorated and good facilities. THE CONS: The hotel tried to charge 150EU for an additional return boat crossing of the canal, a ~30m trip that takes less than a minute but is necessary to get to the building. Reduced to EU40 per trip following my protest, but still outrageous - even EU10 would've been a stretch. Had I known in advance, I wouldn't have booked. In what world is that a reasonable price? A pretty shameless rip-off, really put a damper on the whole experience for us.
