★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Geweldige schoenenwinkel met mooie producten. Personeel is deskundig en kent van alle schoenen de leest. Daardoor altijd een perfect passende schoen. Voor degene die een nette schoen zoekt is dit eigenlijk één van de drie goede zaken in Amsterdam.
 Great shoe store with beautiful products. Staff are knowledgeable and know all shoes well. Therefore always a perfectly fitting shoe. For those looking for a neat shoe, this is actually one of the three good things in Amsterdam.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Het laatste jaar is de kwaliteit van de van Lier schoenen DRAMATISCH gedaald. Ik heb nu al meer dan 4 paar schoenen moeten gaan ruilen omdat de zolen loslaten en het leer gewoon scheurt. Krijg je van de fabriek zo'n braaf briefje en 3 maanden later laten de zolen WEER los. Het is allemaal veel dunner en slechter geworden: blijkbaar moet het goedkoper. Goede lijm hebben ze ook niet meer. Echt jamer, dit merk gaat zo op de fles. Ik koop GEEN van lier schoenen meer.
The quality of the van Lier shoes DRAMATIC has declined in the last year. I have now had to trade more than 4 pairs of shoes because the soles let go and the leather just cracks. You get such a nice letter from the factory and 3 months later the soles let go again. It has all become much thinner and worse: apparently it has to be cheaper. They don't have good glue either. Really, this brand will soon be in the bottle. I do NOT buy lier shoes anymore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vriendelijk klantenservice, maar helaas kregen we een gevoel dat ze niet echt bezig zijn om schoenen te verkopen. Ook vragen worden kort behandeld zonder uitleg. Dat gaf ons een impressie dat klanten alles zelf moeten weten.
Friendly customer service, but unfortunately we got a feeling that they are not really in the business of selling shoes. Questions are also treated briefly without explanation. That gave us the impression that customers have to know everything themselves.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was given poor advice on the shoe size by a staff member and ended up with a pair that turned out to be too small, but as I walked outside with them I am unable to trade up a size. I offered to pay for any depreciation/overhead costs for the exchange but was still turned away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Blisters on feet and holes in sole, after few months of usage. Luxury indeed! And also one shoe was darker than the other.
None of my other shoe brands had this problem. Yet another example of Dutch rip-off!
