★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super mooi museum waar altijd iets nieuws en verassends te zien is. Je leert hier heel veel over de beschaving van het voormalige eiland Wieringen en hun levenswijze. En ook werken er super enthausiaste vrijwilligers die je van alles kunnen uitleggen. Één woord: Super!
 Super nice museum where there is always something new and surprising to see. You will learn a lot about the civilization of the former island of Wieringen and their way of life. And there are also super enthusiastic volunteers who can explain everything to you. One word: Super!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interessant museum. Idyllisch, nostalgisch. Toegangsprijs is 5 euro, maar dat is dan wel inclusief koffie/thee en rondleiding. Rondleiding was misschien wat "kneuterig", maar juist dat maakte het ook wel weer leuk.
Interesting museum. Idyllic, nostalgic. Admission is 5 euros, but that includes coffee/tea and a guided tour. The tour may have been a bit "cheesy", but that's what made it fun.

Nice museum including original Wierder farm. Worth to include in your bike route, or just learn.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sehr netter Empfang. Das Museum wird von einem sehr aktiven Verein geführt . Die Ausstellung ist umfangreich und es wird auch sehr viel von dessen Mitgliedern waehrend des Besuches erklärt. Eine Tasse Tee /Kaffee ist im Eintrittsgeld enthalten. Hier kann man mit den Einheimischen in Kontakt treten und erfährt auf diese Weise sehr viel über Land und Leute.
Very nice reception. The museum is run by a very active association. The exhibition is extensive and a lot is explained by its members during the visit. A cup of tea / coffee is included in the entrance fee. Here you can get in touch with the locals and learn a lot about the country and its people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Wieringer island museum is an experience for young and old. The guides are all pretty big boomers, but they are very friendly. Make sure you try the Wieringer cookie, this dark brown sugar coated meal is a secret old delicacy. The wooden shoes of Jan Lont are next to the well.
