Amsterdam Marriott Hotel - Stadhouderskade 12

We had a lovely stay in Marriot Amsterdam! Very clean and organized room, excellent service and delicious rib eye stake ? The hotel is located in a central area of the city, 3 minutes walking to Vondelpark and Leidseplein as well as easy access for public transportation. Recommend!

On the day of arrival we had een fine familyroom but there was een weird smell in the bathroom. I asked for someone to come check. Within 3 minutes the hotel serviceman was at the door. He couldn’t find anything but confirmed the smell and said he would arrange a roomchange. And 5 minutes later the nicest evening employee was at the door with a trolley. He guided us to our new room which was bigger. Great service. We had a such a great time. At the breakfast buffet everything we asked for they had. The employees were so so nice and helpfull. we are definitely coming back.

Spectacular location. Large, clean, comfortable, well appointed rooms. The industry’s best service. Don’t bother looking for rooms anywhere else. Covid temporarily limits the in house food/drink options, but the neighborhood is dense with all restaurant levels. Delivery is also an option. Get out and enjoy the city right outside your door.

+ The best thing about this hotel is its location, which is walking distance from the city center and many sights. + The view from our room (on the ninth floor) to the city was a joy every time of day. + The complimentary charging station for electric cars came in very handy. + The restaurant staff was very welcoming on all occasions. - The rooms are advertised as soundproof but they are not. We could hear our next door neighbour's tv and our upstairs neighbour's footsteps as well as bathroom noises (shower drain, flushing toilet,...) - Tiled floors throughout the room (without underfloor heating) made for a chilly experience. - There were no bathrobes or slippers present in the room (which one would expect from a 5 star hotel). - The breakfast buffet was ample and tasty, but unfortunately cold on both mornings of our stay. We informed the staff and apparently the warming plates are on a timer, switch off automatically and need to be reset (which is obviously forgotten). - The checkout staff did not seem interested in informing about our experience at the hotel and handled our check-out in a rather abrupt and impersonal manner (a sharp contrast with the check-in which ran very smoothly and was extremely welcoming).

My partner and our little Frenchie, Moose, stayed in this property instead of the W. The retrofit is pretty standard. The outside is dated, but inside is pretty nice. The rooms and the M lounge are very clean. Staff is superb. Still prefer the W, but we would stay here again.

Great stay at the Marriott Amsterdam ! The localisation is perfect, not far from all the shops, close to the supermarket Spar. The staff is really Nice, the room ( 2 double beds) was clean and refreshed everyday. Also as the hotel was not so full due to the covid situation, we was able to get an early check in and late check out. We really appreciated it ! Thanks to the staff!

This isn't a 5* hotel. This is very much just about a 4* business hotel. Breakfast is sub par. You're better off going out. Poor selection and cramped seating. Bare rooms, really plain. All the bathrooms have a smell of damp and are very small. Some staff unhelpful. Good location. Very average hotel. Don't bother with the executive rooms.

We vacationed in Amsterdam for a week and stayed at the Amsterdam Marriott Hotel. The Hotel is located within minutes from the Van Gogh and Rembrandt museums, shopping and more. The staff takes pride in the hotel which is evidenced by their efforts to ensure the guests are comfortable and that the hotel is maintained to the highest of standards. The hotel staff were cordial, professional and knowledgeable. The room was cleaned and sanitized daily. We did not opt for the breakfast buffet upon booking our stay and wished that we had. The restaurant provided five star dinners and the cost was reasonable for the portions and number of courses offered. There is a supermarket just across the street as well as boat tours. We did meet some wonderful people on staff and we enjoyed our stay. Everyone on staff was always pleasant, helpful and patient with two tourists (an old married couple) that needed constant assistance with bookings, directions, taxi service, etc. In particular there was one specific concierge (mid-twenties woman from Crete) that assisted with directing us to many of the attractions and sights that we would not have visited were it not for her kind assistance. We would like her to know that we greatly appreciated her time and patience, she is truly one of the sweetest persons that treated us like family (not just another guest of the hotel). She is one of Marriott's greatest assets. We look forward to staying at the Amsterdam Marriott Hotel again. Our room was comfortable and; as usual, Marriott sets the standard for Luxury hotels. They truly did not disappoint. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend the Amsterdam Marriott for vacation, business, long weekend or even an overnight stay.
